Have you seen “What the Bleep Do We Know?"? filmed in Portland
The first scene is Marlee Matlin in the Baghdad Theater on Hawthorne,(where I saw Amy Goodman last year) the second she is in Union Station. Beautiful shots of downtown, the park blocks and great aerial views of the city at night.
Even had a scene at the Zoo Max Station, although I’ve never seen a presentation going on there like that. :eyes:

The rest of the movie was gobbldy-gook Near the end I just fast forwarded to the storyline, special effects and Portland scenes.

1. One scene...
was shot right outside my window at the Goose Hollow/SW Jefferson Max Station. I enjoyed the movie (I have a hard-on for quantum physics) but I think some of the people were just a little to far out there.

8. Hey Neighbor.
Have you been into the Leaky Roof since it was sold? The hubby and I were thinking about walking over for dinner. But we were told new owners and new cooks.

9. Never
I moved in to the student housing building there fairly recently, and I have barely enough free time to do anything but school. However, I like the area a lot, it is really cozy and quaint.

3. Saw it at the Bagdad when it opened
Content was just okay by my reckoning, a little heavy on the whole mysticism/create-yer-own-reality side of things for my tastes, but still somewhat enjoyable. Best part about it was the Portland scenery and watching a movie filmed using the theatre where you're watching the movie as a set.

There was a TV series I liked for a while, kind of Fugitive-meets-X-Files stuff, filmed in Portland. Can't remember the name offhand. What rocked for me was how they completely chopped up the city in shot edits, so it was this discontinuous space-time warp effect, where the lead character would be running west across the Hawthorne Bridge straight into Lloyd Centre, or an action scene driving hell-bent on Vista Road to get to Elliot Circle (Reed College), that kind of thing. Great fun on a limited budget. I think it failed to generate ratings everywhere but Portland, so it didn't get renewed.

5. Yep I think it's a great movie

it had a great indie feel and I love Marlee Matlin. Sure some of it was real psuedo pop. But it also made some great points in a way that many people could grasp.

Plus it's always fun to see the downtown and say Oh I know that I know that!

6. I'll have to rent that one again.
I had heard rave reviews from some acquantances, but when I attempted to watch it, it bored me into a near comatose state almost immediately so I did not even realize it was filmed in Portland. Perhaps another viewing will help.

7. It was a lovely "sleep aid."
It was on TV yesterday or the day before, and I remained awake for about half of it.

I know people who have an ongoing study group based on the tenets of that movie. They are either way smarter or way stupider than I. It's fun watching movies with Portland scenes, though, so I'll try again for the second half.
