It's true! Kerry digs are opening up at 29th and E. Burnside next
week, primo location--next to the Nature's (Wild Oats), Pizzicato,
and Laurelhurst Theatre. Plenty of parking too and it's very
accessible.

So as we are ready to move in, we need your help!
Next Tuesday night, June 1st from 6-9pm we need your help--it's
the "Extreme Makeover"--Kerry Oregon Campaign HQ Edition. Pizza and
soft drinks on us, while you and about 40 other fabulous volunteers
help get us looking shiny and like new. So...please come--bring
your pals, and help us get our new turf all spiffed up.

Here's a list of things we need for cleaning. Please bring these
with you!
vacuum cleaners, mops, brooms, dust pans, sponges, wash rags, pails,
buckets, toilet brush, paper towels, many a cleaning supply--window
cleaner, toilet cleaner, surface cleaner, dish soap, etc. We need
it all. Donate it or take it back home with you, but come and help
us get up and running!

Additionally, we have many office wish list needs as we are about to
move in. Feel free to come by and contribute or loan an item or two
or ten. Here's a sampling of what we need...
pens, sharpies, highlighters, markers, binder clips, file folders,
glue sticks, scotch tape, duct tape, clear mailing tape, scissors,
message pads, post-its, clipboards, reams of paper, paper cutter,
name tags, file organizers/holders/racks, shelves, flip charts,
easel, poster paper/board, staplers, staples, push pins, bulletin
boards, sharpies, postage stamps, microwave, TV/VCR, 2
refrigerators, coffee maker, coffee, napkins, paper cups, paper
towels, toilet paper, disposable and permanent utensils, plates and
cups, garbage cans--big and small, garbage can liners/trash bags,
air freshener, folding chairs, fans, snacks, etc.

Thanks in advance for your willingness to help out. This June the
Kerry campaign will be busting out all over! See you Tuesday!

1. Coffee on the way!

My wife will be coming over after work with a coffee maker, a carafe, and some fresh home roasted coffee. A blend of Kenya AA, Sumatra, and Ethiopian. Yum!

2. Wow! Cleaning that place was a trip

Used to be a dental clinic or something? Half the rooms have sinks with those funky footpedal faucets. I cleaned a lot of suspicious-looking reddish-brown stains off the walls...

From those of us out in the hinterlands that can't make it in there, we really appreciate it! (You could have kept the stain stuff to yourself, eeeww!!! lol)

4. Also, for those who have office supplies to donate, come by Thursday

Frankly, in between the sorry-ass state of the office space and the 40-or-so people swarming over it with cleaning equipment, there wasn't much room for office supplies. But they'll be setting up Thursday evening. Drop by with an old filing cabinet or that desk you don't need anymore, meet the staff, sign up for a task or two...
