RRDP Hosts Premier Showing of Fahrenheit 9/11!

After much work and maneuvering, we are happy to announce that we have arranged for Oklahoma City to be one of the 10 cities nationwide selected for Fahrenheit 9/11 premieres on June 24th, the night before it is released nationwide on the 25th. All of the other cities selected are what you would expect: New York, San Francisco, Boston, etc..., but OKC breaks the mold! We are grateful to the folks in Michael Moore's office for seeing the importance of selecting our community as an important venue for this powerful film to have an advance, special screening. This is tremendous and exciting news for our city, state, and for PALFOUND!

1. Details on the OKC Premiere!!!

Got this in my email today. I hope anyone who is able will attend this big event. It'll be a great night out and fund two really great groups.

Dear Friends:

The Oklahoma City premiere of Fahrenheit 9/11 will be at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 24th at Cinemark Tinseltown USA (6001 Martin Luther King Blvd., Oklahoma City) The theater holds 300 people.

The Smith Group, LLC will be organizing this fundraising event for the PROGRESSIVE ALLIANCE FOUNDATION (PALFOUND) and Oklahoma military families who have lost loved-ones in the Iraq War. The proceeds, which are tax-deductible, will be split evenly among these two groups.

There is a $25 Minimum Donation for entrance to this event. For those people who want to be part of an exciting 10 city premiere event and spend some extra money for a good cause-- then our event is for you. We wish we had more than 300 seats to offer.

We would like to note that many of the other benefactor organizations in the other cities selected for these fundraising premieres are national groups like the ACLU, Sept. 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows, and Military Families Speak Out. We are very honored that PALFOUND, which is a local and relatively new organization, has been selected by Michael Moore's office to benefit from this event in our wonderful city and state. PALFOUND in turn decided to share the proceeds from this event with military families.

The Smith Group will NOW take reservations on a "first come, first serve" basis at the number below. Donations can be paid by check or cash at the door to the event. Checks should be made out to the PROGRESSIVE ALLIANCE FOUNDATION. Remember to make a reservation even if you plan to pay by check. Donations can also be made with your credit card over the phone. You must have a reservation to attend this event, we cannot accept walk-ins.
