4 House seats that need to be contested
The partisan indexes of these districts are not solid GOP, so Democrats have good chances for pickup opportunity.

OH-01 Steve Chabot
OH-03 Mike Turner
OH-12 Pat Tiberi
OH-14 Steve LaTourette

1. We have a great contender for the Third District....

Dr. Stephanie Studebaker. There will be a Democratic Primary but she looks like our winner.

2. Mike Turner needs to GO!!!
Mclin whipped his butt, now Stephanie can!!!

Go Stephanie!!!!

Maybe we can get Phil back in town and do a show out of Dayton again??
Dayton is a unique, historic town, that gets no respect.
That needs to change!!!
We are the birthplace of Aviation, and (President) MARTIN SHEEN!!!

We are known for Peace!
We just opened a Peace Museum!

We need to help this town before the Ghosts start moving in!!!

Go Stephanie!!!

4. Mike Turner is hard to beat
2002 Rick Carne had Martin Sheen

2004 Jane Mitakides had Wes Clark

2006 - I wish Stephanie all the best. It's going to be a hard campaign. Dayton is mainly Democratic, and McLin did defeat Turner.

But 3rd District has been redistricted as Republican, and too many people automatically will vote Republican again.

7. Out of town celebs don't help in Ohio
You just have to get in there and fight a good grassroots campaign, raise a lot of money and sock it away til just before the election when you make as many good tv ad buys as possible and pound the voters with targeted mailings.

Turner has a lot of weaknesses, he's rude and belligerent with constituents who call on him. He sucks on health care issues. There's a lot of ammo that can be used against him.

5. District One..
John Cranley, Cincinnati Councilman, announced his candidacy today at the Hamilton County Dem Meeting. He has a good chance...since he is a 'west sider' of Cincinnati.....which is very conservative. I believe he is anti-choice. I guess the only good thing I can say about him is that he is not chabot. We have lots of pug lites/DINOs in SW Ohio.

6. Enquirer article says Pelosi encouraged Cranley to run
Link to Enquirer article http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051204/NEWS01/512040375/1077/NEWS01

It seems like Cranley may be a big improvement from Chabot and yet not unelectibly (in this district) Progressive. He did get 45 percent of the vote running against Chabot in 2000.

8. Who's running against LaTourette in CD14?
I'd certainly like to get busy against him, but so far no takers?

Maybe I, BillORightsMan, should start up an "Exploratory Committee" to see about a run in CD 14 vs. LaTourette?
I've got a GREAT Platform:
The Bill of Rights!!!

9. Little Capri has been checking out OH-13 as Mr. Brown moves on
I am sure she really wants the Mahoning Valley seat, but the Cafaros already have a guy in the 17th.
