Just so you know.. Coleman's main campaign consultant
Graig Haas, was one of the founders of the Ohio branch of the DLC...

Just so you know...

1. Coleman is DLC
Mayor Coleman is definitely a DLC candidate. He proudly held the DLC Convention in Columbus this summer. To me, it doesn't matter much, but I agree that it shouldn't be a secret. I'm completely unimpressed with Greg Haas, but I still like Mayor Coleman.

2. DLC, the pariah organization of DU and DailyKos
I think DLC's influence is overstated, but whenever I hear their smug Al From on Cspan, I feel revulsion.

3. Are we ever going to be rid of those guys?
The old time DLC hacks have been running every statewide campaign in Ohio for the last ten years. Time to clean them out.

We also need to get rid of the Jane Campbell cult that has been running (or not running) Dem women's organizations.

4. If the economy didn't "stink", Jane would have been reelected
The economic conditions caused a major shortfall in tax receipts. She had to cut safety forces badly, and she issued these bizarre ideas of canceling recycling and quit taking out the trash. If the economy was strong, this would not have happened. Her reelection would have been like Mayor White coasting to a third term without really having challenged any hard problems.

Well, good luck, Mayor Jackson.

8. Agree on that
Jane would have been the better choice for mayor. My reference is to Jane's cult, a group of clueless and vain followers who insist on monopolizing control of any Dem women's effort in Ohio, then do nothing until Jane is running for some office. They also monopolize the women's GOTV effort for presidential campaigns in Ohio, which only works in getting out the votes of women who live in Shaker Heights.

11. Coleman is toast anyway
hopefully, he will drop out before the newspapers really start digging on him and his wife.

Not a freep comment, it is what I know and what I hear YOU all are going to know.

Mike ought to, ahem, stand back and support Strickland before the press starts the smear machine.

12. Well, he just did
Coleman just withdrew from the race. Press conference will be at 3:00 p.m. today.

I like Coleman and would have wanted him for Gov, but the most important thing is to get a Dem for Gov, so I hope this makes Strickland even stronger.

13. Thanks!
Thanks for the news.

I think it's good news. It clears the way for our strongest candidate.

15. I met Coleman a couple of times when he was on the
ticket with Fisher...

Bright, articulate man made a dismal year somewhat tolerable...
