Poll question: So Ohio, will your state go for Kerry this time?
Hi there! I'm from your friendly neighbor to the east, PA.

How about a deal? We'll do our best to win PA for Kerry and you guys do the same for Ohio.

1. Michigan may have some "extra" Democrats this time
I'm willing to move to Toledo, establish residency, and register to vote. Hey, you gotta serve your country somehow.

2. What a deal!
However, we really need you in Dayton since there are only a few of us down here in southwestern Ohio.

Would you consider Dayton? We have a minor league baseball team that's even better that the Toledo Mudhens; we have the Dayton Dragons.

And you can forget Toledo's famous Tony Packo's -- we have the best chocolate in the world: Esther Price.

Whaddaya say, whaddaya say?

3. Outnumbered in SW Ohio
We are definitely out-numbered in SW Ohio. Republicans control everything except the City of Cincinnati. The urban core is Democratic, the suburbs as far as the eye can see are Republican strongholds.

A not-so-bold prediction: Kerry will win northern Ohio. Bush will win southern Ohio. Overall, it will be very close. We need to work it!

4. I'm not optimistic at all.
I think the Shrub will win in a squeaker, but it will be quite close. I'll do my best to help Kerry win. I've already donated, and have put signs in my yard. I also will be attending church festivals all summer with my Kerry tee-shirt.

5. I'm optimistic.
I really think we're going to deliver this election to Kerry. I know DOZENS of people who are either voting for the first time or who are changing their vote from last time. Just look at the primary turnout. We set records this year.

Yeah. We got this one.

That said, we can't afford to stop pushing. Don't back down, don't get lazy. It's ours to lose.

6. NW Ohio is pissed
A lot of republicans aren't voting around here this year, more and more everyday I hear say this becuase they say Bush is not a real conservative or even a republican.

Many have lost thier jobs in NW Ohio, have family members in Iraq and Afghanistan, local schools are suffering badly with funding, and almost all of them are very pissed off. NW Ohio went Bush in '00 but will, by the way things look now, will go Kerry in '04.
