Ohio still wants a Hillary-Rudy election
http://blog.cleveland.com/openers/2007/10/ohio_still_wants_a_hillaryrudy.html

New numbers from Quinnipiac University's polling institute show what the old numbers showed: Registered Democrats in Ohio like Hillary Clinton, and registered Republicans like Rudy Giuliani.

If they were in the election 13 months from now, Clinton would win Ohio's electoral votes, beating Giuliani 46 to 40 percent, the latest Quinnipiac poll, released this morning, shows.

Clinton's lead among Democrats in the primary race is deep and wide, Peter Brown, assistant director of the polling institute, said at a news conference. If she were to win the early primary states of Iowa and New Hampshire, it would be "very, very, very hard" for her to lose the nomination in subsequent states.

If you don't like Hillary, insert the name John Edwards. Or Barack Obama. Or switch the Republican nominee to John McCain, Fred Thompon or Mitt Romney.

Any way you mix and match it right now, a Democrat would win in Ohio, the poll shows. It's early and the candidates are paying almost no attention to the state, so that could change. And Ohio is important, but don't forget Florida. (Who could, after 2000?) Clinton's lead over Giuliani there, 46 to 43, is within the poll's margin of error, though Clinton's numbers are improving since Quinnipiac showed a Florida tie in September.

2. It's not the case here, either
I can't figure it out, Ninga. I have only talked to one person who is a die hard Hillary supporter. I will support her if she gets the nomination, but don't see how she can win around here.
I'm sticking with Edwards and hoping for a win in Iowa.

3. to continue this topic......I am astounded by your post. I am having the exact same experience when
talking with people. Either they don't know, or are Edwards or Obama supporters. My sister in Michigan and cousin in DC are having the same experience too. Hillary is not at the top of their lists, either with them or their friends.

4. Something smells in these polls
I don't dislike HC and would love to see a woman as President in my lifetime. I just don't think she had a ghosts chance
to win around here. There are too many people from the middle who dislike her. We can't win without those voters. I'm
ready for someone who can unite the people. The hatred has gone on far too long.

of her record, I unfortunately crossed her off my list.

It broke my heart, but I think among other things, the Bush Clinton Bush Clinton cycle is too much for many people to swallow.

But I can no more vote for a person solely on their gender, or race or orientation.

Do I want to see a women achieve and win the run for the WH....you bet.

I just do not get the polls....very curious.

Yea!!! The Indians just scored 3 runs in the top of the 11th......I hope I hope I hope

I was down at Dem HQ last week and no one there supports her, either.

Stinky polls for sure.
