3. One more time for our friends in Ohio!
How cool was it that Ted stood up for our National Guard. It is worthy of a mention here! Gotta love it! Peace to you, Kim

18. Right....
the folks who offered interesting ideas and information are banned from the Ohio forum...I rarely stop in.

BTW....how's everyone liking Senator Brown these days??? Voted against giving this regime wiretapping capabilities, didn't he? I wonder if 'war boy' would have done the same....guess we'll never know, now will we?

19. Senator Brown is doing just fine
and, I for one, don't miss the personal attacks and petty bickering that I have witnessed on this forum in the past. I try not to engage in similar behavior, but if you think that they're the only ones with "interesting" ideas, I really have to wonder what we are coming to.

20. Oh, I see....
you don't engage in petty bickering, instead you prefer the passive-aggressive route. How interestingly refreshing.

6. Well, ninga cringin' I read in Campaigns and Elections magazine yesterday
that Ohio blogs are HOT. Doing monumental and cutting edge things, like influencing the national conversation, etc. etc.

Democrats: http://www.campaignsandelections.com/oh/articles/?ID=425

Republicans: http://www.campaignsandelections.com/oh/articles/?ID=431

Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Boring, indeed!

Although, everyone's probably already.......snoring, again.....

I can tell you some stories about local politics, about how it seems to attract the best and worst of us. Best stories, worst stories contest? Anyone up to it (without naming names)? The winner gets a contribution for their favorite candidate. I'll sponsor it.

7. Whoops,.....just woke up!! Specifically, what I am wishing on a star for, is some hot
Ohio debate on the field of dreams candidates.

Ohio being the bellweather state and all.........we don't seem to be on fire for any particualar candidate.

What say you Ohioians??!!! Who will be our next prez???

9. Some Republican friends of mine think Bill Richardson is the best candidate
...on either side.

I thought some of the answers by some of the candidates at the most recent debate were weird, esp. Joe Biden who always seems like he's going thru the motions of running, not really serious, but why does he do it. Just to be on a stage to give lame answers? I don't like Biden or Clinton because they got on the Senate floor and spoke in favor of going to war in Iraq, and used Senator Byrd's allotted time to do it, who was adamantly opposed. Edwards seems pollyana but I think he is a really good guy. Kucinich has all the right ideas, but he loses a ton of respect every time he pulls a new publicity stunt.

Just aint too much TO be excited about I suppose. I would give Obama the benefit of the doubt over Clinton, but he really has no idea what he believes in either, except himself, as I think I read somewhere and concurred.

10. Anybody But Clinton
Her defense of her vote for the Iraq War Resolution at the debate was the most dishonest bulls--t I have heard from any Democrat.

She would also bring the Robert Rubin/sweet with Wall Street mode to Washington that is the antithesis of the anti-free-trade momentum that the Democrats have. I'll admit that the public's understanding of free trade is simplistic, but it is one of the best issues that the Democrats have.

11. I'm glad I missed that then
I didn't watch the whole debate, nor do I think I could have stood it.

I hate not liking Clinton, but I just don't think she can be trusted. And I agree, the whole Iraq double-talk is reprehensible. She can't have it both ways (is that what being a chicken hawk means?).

12. Chickenhawk is a warmonger who never served like Cheney and Wolfowitz
...or one who gets a posting in the Air National Guard so that he can stay the hell out of the war in Vietnam. I think Clinton voted for the IWR because she knew that she could take the Democrats for granted.

13. she has started some wars alright....
I have imagined for some time now that Mr. Clinton's frustrations with his wife stem from her uncanny ability to do really dumb things when she's so damn smart.
