Schmidt Trailing In Money Race
As reported in the Cincinnati Enquirer.

"Rep. Jean Schmidt is behind in the campaign fundraising race, according to new reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.

The Miami Township Republican has raised $95,900 in the last three months, and, after expenses has just $85,170 in the bank."

The article goes on to state that her Republican Primary opponent and the two Democratic Primary candidates have all raised more money than incumbent Schmidt. Yesss.

1. deja vu all over again man
I personally dislike the use of money raised as a metric for measuring a candidate's likely success in an election.

I don't deny the importance of money, but it is a bit like vehicle horse power and CPU megahertz, in that you need to be in the ball park to stay in the game.

2. When Wulsin started to rise in the polls...
at the end of the election cycle in 2006 the repukes dumped a large amount of money into Mean Jean's coffers and she won by a narrow margin. Something to remember is Mean Jean is not liked by all repukes in the district. That was reflected by the narrow win in the 2006 general election. If Mean Jean were to lose in the primary the Democrat won't have a chance as long as Warren and Claremont Counties go red as they always do. If Mean Jean wins the primary and Dr. Wulsin were to take the Democratic primary I would say that the good doctor has a good chance because the repuke primary is going to get ugly and there is more name recognition with Dr. Wulsin.
