Rumor has it.....LaTourette's lead only single digits.
According to Yellow Dog Sammy ...

http://ohio2006elections.blogspot.com/

Lew Katz is within striking distance of LaTourette in OH-14.

Steve has done polling recently according to the FEC reports. He has not released any numbers and now we have an indication as to why.

Also...Lew will be appearing with Strickland and John Edwards on Saturday at Cleveland's Antioch Baptist Church, 8869 Cedar Avenue. Doors open at 3:15 pm, rally starts at 3:45 pm.

Looks like the 14th District could well be in Democratic hands after Tuesday.

2. 2 things about this campaign ...
with all due respect to candiddate Katz.

1. If the election is about Latourette, Katz wins, otherwise he is likely to loose.

2. Photo gallery on katz's site ( katzforcongress.com ) has him on display with famous statewide candidates,
where are the pictures with his wife, kids & grandkids ? Now how basic is that ?

3. LA TOURETTE IS FINISHED
BOEHNER, WHO GOT HANDED OFF A PAC THAT SUPPORTED INDIAN GAMBLING FROM LA TOURETTE, IS TRYING TO DISTRACT ATTENTION AWAY FROM LATOURETTE....

4. That story is getting about no play that I can see
I think Katz hope is that the voters in this leaning-republican district just "want" to vote for a change. Lew Katz has been campaigning and meeting people. He comes across well. His signs are everywhere, including some public rights-of-way where they should not be (it wasn't me placing them--honest!)

6. Katz
has been to our local club meetings 2x . I really like him. His campaign has a been a bit low key...I don't think he is getting a lot of help from the top.....I really do like the man ..it seems to me he is a long shot...but who knows...people have really had enough of these republicans..

I can count on one hand the amount of La Tourette's sign I have seen ..Katz signs are all over the place here...so who knows maybe he will actually pull this off..

5. NY Times - 14 is a safe republican seat ...
We know La Tourette sold out on free trade agreements long before the abramoff stuff came out.

We haven't made the case for electing a democrat in this district.

But, miracles do happen ...

7. The f*ing Dem Party in Ohio gave Katz an f*ing $500.00 !!!!!!!!!!!
Edited on Sun Nov-05-06 10:49 AM by Ninga
DEMS IN OHIO had a sure thing this year AND DIDN'T KNOW IT. WHAT DO THEY DO? They by-passed Katz barely giving him the nod.

LaTourette is a slime bag in every sense of the way.

And to make matters worse, at the City Club debate, there was at one DEM Mayor, the mayor from Stow (I think her names is Karen Fritsche) who sat at a LaTourette table in support of him.

OBVIOUSLY PORK RULES THE DEMS IN THIS STATE.

What does LaTourette do in closed door meetings with Dems? Bribe them with pork?

Karen Fritsche of Stow
and
Chuck DeGross of Moreland Hills

Both LaTourette supporters.

DINO's for sure.
