4. Super turnout! We had maybe 300-400 people show up.
It was very exciting. We are focusing on voter registration right now, up until April 11th, then GOTV stuff.
It was lots of fun and people were really pumped about Obama and the chance for NC to make a difference in the primary.

Fired up!!! :headbang:

5. That's great NC_Nurse....
Did you see Wildeyed's thread about the Chlt/Mecklenburg headquarters opening. Got a good write-up in the Chlt Observer.

Seems they were expecting something like 50-70 people, and wound up with "700" volunteers for an office opening. They remarked that they've never seen anything like it.

Congrats to you. :toast:

today at Costco. He saw my button and gave me a free energy drink. He's going to get up with the office in
G'boro and volunteer. :)

btw, did you see the latest Gallup? He's up 10 pts nationally over HRC. I think that phony sniper tale really hurt her.

YES WE CAN!!!

8. I just saw it! Great news!
I just got home from registering voters. My husband did data entry all afternoon. They're
putting all of the new volunteers into the database. I'm exhausted. We worked for 9am-6pm yesterday
decorating the field office and helping sign up volunteers and register voters. Then all afternoon today.

We had groups of students registering voters on campus, Spanish-speakers registering Hispanics at the
Catholic church, and probably 25 people doing data entry...it's amazing how energized everyone is!

If they are workiing like this in PA we've got to be gaining or winning by now! :)

9. NC is a Same Day Registration state now.
You can register and vote on the same day during early voting. I am sure you guys know this, but it will be a big help turning out young and low income voters :)

10. We're trying to get as many registered by April 11th as we can. The we will
start promoting early voting and MAKE SURE people know they can register on site at those locations at early voting.
The we go to GOTV - knocking on doors, calling, and driving voters to the polls.

16. We got over 100 more yesterday! Today volunteers from SC and VA are
arriving to help with a BIG drive on UNC campus (Go Heels!). We are pulling out ALL the stops!
I worked 10 hours at the front desk of the field office yesterday. Working the afternoon shift today
and evenings this week. The weather has been against us, but should clear up tomorrow. This is the LAST
week for regular voter reg. Come join us if you can. After that, we'll be pushing early voting which is
April 17th - May 3rd. The crowds on the 6th will be HUGE, early vote is you can! :D
