Mark Martin (R) is getting liberal endorsements for State Supreme Court.
Many liberals/progressives I know are voting for him and The Indy (progressive/liberal paper) says he is the best choice.

Given the abysmal choices otherwise, I think he'll be a good choice. This is the only R I'm voting for, basically because there is no prudent Democratic choice for this one race.

2. Yes, he seems to be a "least bad choice" scenario.
He's not any type of 'progressive' by a long shot, but
his opponent is downright FRIGHTENING.

3. I voted for him, too.

Though I felt a little bad about it, his opponent just wasn't qualified, IMO. She's only been practicing in NC a couple years, has no judicial experience, & her explanation of her position on the issues was very weak. Martin had a lot of endorsements from Democrats - so he can't be that bad... right? Why do people think his opponent is "scary"?

ETA: OK, she's scary. She wanted to be listed as "Madame Justice"? :eyes: How did a person like this even get on the ballot?

4. I couldn't vote for Martin
I decided instead to leave it blank. I used to split my vote, but no more. I'll never vote for another Republican after Bush. The Republican party has become an abomination.
