3. I emailed the originator of the email just to confirm.
She is pretty plugged in, I doubt she would steer anyone wrong on this. Maybe that whoever was working the phones at red cross was not made aware. I imagine they are having a busy day.

Will post later if I get a confirmation.

4. Ok
I talked to two people there and they didn't have any clue. I want to sport some good signs about Jason Lewis on WBT who told his listeners to think twice before writing that check to the Red Cross. I am sooo mad Charlotte still has him on the air.

5. Haven't heard back yet.
I gotta get off the DU, my eyes are getting buggy. But I am still planning to go tomorrow. I need to do something. The woman who sent the original email was, until recently, an officer at the local NAACP, so I am assuming she knows what is going on.

Sorry ahead of time if I posted an error. I will post again tomorrow if I hear anything.

Why did Jason Lewis not want people to donate to the Red Cross?

6. Had a good email session with him
earlier, he belives that the Red Cross is too liberal an organization, the funds will not get to the right people, prefers salvation army. He just gets my blood pressure going something terrible. I will check sat morning to see if any more updates would love to do something myself.

7. It was really beautiful.
We all prayed for the victims and announcements about relief efforts were made. A family from NO came. They drove out ahead of time and are staying with relatives. They lost everything. Their neighborhood is gone. They still have not located their four year old grand daughter.

The Red Cross official said they need blood, so if you have time, swing by and donate.
