Herald-Sun story on Vigil in Durham
All in all, not a bad story.

Naturally, they gave 7 paragraphs to a Repub
to spout the usual bull...
(But it doesn't actually say he was THERE. pfft!)

But his stale crap got sandwiched between good stuff
from our side.
And they said there were "about 430" of us! woohoo!

<<snip>>
Norman Keul, Jackie's father, said he took his family to the vigil because he disagreed with the premise of the war, how it has been conducted, the aftermath and the torture of prisoners that have occurred in its wake.

"Where do you begin criticizing this war?" asked Keul, who was wearing a "War is not the answer" pin on his collar. "We got out of Vietnam and everybody survived that. We can survive this, too."

<snip>
"This war is not worth any more of our lives," Keul said. "It's time for it to stop. It's only resulting in a lot of lives being lost and there is nothing being accomplished."

Passing motorists beeped their horns, flashed peace signs and yelled words of encouragement to the protesters.

3. 61% of Americans is a "very small segment"? HA!
"A very small segment of the population opposes the war on terror, he said, while defending the Bush administration's policies."

What a dolt. WTF planet DOES Biddy live on?
