There is no logical reason or excuse for censoring Friday's Nightline. None.

5. What happened when I called

I just spoke with their representative. I asked if it was true that ABC45 would not be airing tomorrow's "Nightline"; after checking with the program director, she told me yes. She then said that a "news program" would air in its place, but she didn't know what kind it would be.

I added that it was unfair that because of Sinclair, tomorrow's "Nightline" would not be shown. She came back with 'well it wasn't our decision' and that she would be happy to pass my comments along. I said that I knew it wasn't their decision, but reiterated that I knew that Sinclair was involved. She took that down, thanked me, and ended the call.

Spread the word and give them a call, friends- make your feelings known.

Thank you for sending this statement.

When is honoring our fallen troops by recalling their names ever a political statement ? Is the Vietnam memorial a political statement ? Are the names listed on memorials throughout this country recalling the war dead political statements ? Is denying the country as losing countless young men and women in a foreign land a political statement ?

Sinclair Broadcast Group's censoring of this broadcast and going back to the days of Bill Maher IS and WILL CONTINUE TO BE the BIGGEST political statement of them all. I see political motivation alright, but it's not because of Ted Koppell.

is what it is. How can they not show a tribute to the troops they claim to love so much?

Far as I know, Channel 11 here in the Triangle is showing Nightline tomorrow night.

It's OWNED by ABC, so its broadcast of "Nightline" is safe.

As is the "Nightline" boradcast on our ABC station, WWAY-3...for now, at least!:eyes:
