Good news Med. marijuana
bill (H3180) introduced in the state Legislature

c/p from norml:

From NORML.ORG:

Legislature Considers Medical Marijuana Reform -- Support H 1380 and H 1383

NORML is pleased to announce that House Bill 1380, an act to exempt qualified medical cannabis patients from state arrest and prosecution, has been filed in the state legislature.

Passage of House Bill 1380 will ensure that "qualified patient shall not be subject to arrest, prosecution, or penalty in any manner, or denied any right or privilege, including, but not limited to, civil penalty or disciplinary action by a business or occupational or professional licensing board or bureau, for the possession of or the medical use of marijuana if the quantity of marijuana does not exceed an adequate supply."

A second bill, HB 1383 -- calling for a medical marijuana referendum to go before the state voters -- is also before the legislature.

The use of marijuana as medicine is a public health issue; it should not be part of the war on drugs. Some 80 state and national health care organizations, including the American Nurses Association, American Public Health Association, The New England Journal of Medicine, and the North Carolina Nurses Association support immediate, legal patient access to medical cannabis.

Please take a moment today to contact your representative and urge him or her to support H 1380 and H 1383. For your convenience, a pre-written letter will be e-mailed to your state representative when you visit here:

Thank you for supporting NORML's marijuana law reform efforts in North Carolina.

Sincerely,
The NORML Team

2. There must be a bracket at some point.
The brackets are to tell the html when to make something bold, italics, strike through, etc.

If only the first one is used like {i}and the later doesn't follow to close it, it will run through the entire text.

Go back to the original and delete any brackets you find. That may do it.

3. Here is your culprit:
From your link:

Passage of House Bill 1380 will ensure that "qualified patient{s} shall not be ...

I changed the brackets around the 's' to a { }. The bracket 's' is the code for strike through, and it was left open.
