People of the 26th -- WE HAVE A CANDIDATE -- Jon Powers
I met him tonight at a house party.

He's young, smart, handsome, and hits a home run on all of the issues in our very economically depressed district.

He's also an Iraq War Vet, and started a non profit called War Kids Relief, a nonprofit organization aimed at assisting the youth of Iraq, providing them the resources and education needed to avoid recruitment by radical and terrorist organizations.

This is a candidate that I will work tirelessly for!

:patriot: :woohoo: :patriot:

Check him out

1. Up by the Canadian border, eh?
Glad you found a good one. He looks like Edwards.

2. Yeah, but we don't say eh

Not far enough west, but we do have a dialect. We call soda--pop and pronounce creek-- crick (sometimes).

Yes, he does look like Edwards, A young Edwards. He's idealistic and seems to be a populist, too. Although the war is one of his main issues, he is also focusing on energy independence, job development, education, veterans issues, and so much more. He's got a smart, young staff that will use all the latest technology to get the message out.

Can you tell that I'm psyched?

:hi:

3. Chill, dude ... I dated a boy from Buffalo
You also have a funny same for large sandwiches ... gotta love regional flavor!

And the website looked good - is the local electorate sympathetic?

4. I don't know about sympathetic
I think that he will resonate with voters. We had a candidate last time that lost by a few thousand votes, and he didn't like the campaign process. Hence he didn't go to many picnics, fairs, and rallies.

Do you remember Tom Reynolds -- the guy that had the press conference surrounded by all the kids after the Foley thing broke? That's the 26th's incumbent. After the Foley thing broke he was 10 points down in the polls and then Buffalo got hit with a freak October storm, and Reynolds rode in with the Bush cavalry, and that's all it took. Our Dem candidate didn't help matters by being invisible.

We have the roast beef on kimmelweck, or beef on weck. Great sandwich!

5. Local politics
I was wondering how the Foley thing worked out - and from what you describe, your candidate has adapted. Excellent!

This is the best opportunity I've seen for legitimate politics in my lifetime - getting past the horror stories of my innocent youth. I'm looking forward to your victory tale.
