1. What do you like?
If you like baseball, either the Yankees or the Mets will have a game.
If you like art, you can't beat the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the Museum of Modern Art.
If you like ethnic food, go to Chinatown or Little Italy.
If you like flowers, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens or the New York Botanical Gardens are top notch.
Let us know your interests and we might be able to help you.

3. Take the subway
Here's a link http://www.mta.info/nyct/maps/submap.htm

The subway is the quickest, most convenient way to get around. It's also a good place to do some people watching (unobtrusively, of course.)

Chinatown and Little Italy are next to each other. There's lots more to do and see. Here's a link to another site that might help you

Have a great time.

9. I then walked to the WTC
Paid tribute to our fallen hero's. I cannot imagine what downtown looked like on 9/11.. I then caught a subway to Canal street and bought 6 t-shirts for $10.. I love bargains.. I then walked back to my truck for a nap.. After my nap I headed north and ran into the Madison Sq Garden. I noticed I was standing on 33rd st and I knew that's where the Empire State building was so I looked east and there is was.. I did the tourist thing and went up to the 86 floor observatory.. What a view.. I ended up eating at Setti's on 7th.. Not bad food.. I left the city at 3am.. That seems to be the best time to leave town while driving a semi truck..

I didn't find the city as crowded with traffic as I thought it would be. I would love to return again, even in my truck..
