Hotel suggestions for NYC March 10/11?

I'll be in NYC to see Leon Russell at the Westbury Music Fair on Friday and a show on Saturday and spend most of the time in between in Manhattan.

We're looking for a hotel, B & B, or similar accomodation in Brooklyn, Queens, or western Long Island so as to be conveniently located for both Westbury and Manhattan.

Any thoughts?

motor lodge run be best western in long island city near the LIE.

also lots of motels on long island but i'm not sure of your budget.
manhattan hotels are at the least 200 a night although there may be special deals for weekends. a couple of hotels in manhattan are the paramount and washington square hotel (right on wash square park in the village).

Convenient to subway to Manhattan, a stop away from LIRR - 24 hour diner a block away and every kind of ethnic food.
