6. Caught a little bit of
coverage on I think it was NBC. Kirsten was talking to a reporter when I tuned in, don't know what they showed before. Having trouble on the computer that I downloaded the pics to so I'll get them up as soon as I can.

Hope the interview went well!

7. I couldn't make it but I plan to support Gillibrand
Is it just me or do other folks think we really have a chance this year to unseat that riot-monger Congressman Kick-ass?

8. Interesting Gillibrand interview from her college newspaper
I've been following the LTTEs on the Gillibrand v. Sweeney race in the Capital Region papers, and her detractors are focusing on how most of her funds are coming from New York City and downstate as opposed to Sweeney's local financial support. I think they're going to push the idea that she's not "one of us," especially as she continues to go after Sweeney for his corporate connections:

Some snippets:

Gillibrand, who has never held political office, has drawn press coverage since the beginning of her campaign by openly targeting Sweeney for his weekend ski trips to Utah with pharmaceutical lobbyists, asserting that he votes for legislations based on his own interests and the interests of the companies to which he is "beholden."

She has also publicized her "ethics I.O.U.," essentially the focus of her campaign. The proposal includes vows that she would not take a trip with or accept gifts from lobbyists and that she would call for an independent ethics council to investigate allegations of corruption in Congress.
