Congressman thinks Karl Rove should get medal
Edited on Wed Jul-13-05 12:56 PM by suegeo
He also says Tim Russert and other members of the media SHOULD BE SHOT.

Congressman King of New York was on Joe Scarborough's Nazi country show last night.

Transcript at:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8551822/

The guy is delusion throughout the interview. It's like reading dialog from the play "Waiting for Godot."

Snips include:
-----
SCARBOROUGH: Now to the storm over the president's top adviser, Karl Rove. Did he leak classified information to a reporter, and should he be bounced from the White House?

With me now to talk about that is Congressman Peter King.

Thank you so much for being with us, Congressman.

It's a fascinating case. And I just got to start by saying, you and I served together during the Clinton administration. We attacked the Clinton administration for not taking national security more seriously. I got to just tell you, I mean, bottom line is, if Clinton's chief of staff or top adviser had leaked the identity of a CIA agent, you and I would be up in arms and say, Clinton had to fire that person immediately.

Should Karl Rove be treated at the same standard?

REP. PETER KING ®, NEW YORK: No, in fact, I think Karl Rove should get a medal, Joe. I really mean that.
----

REP. PETER KING ®, NEW YORK: And Joe Wilson has no right to complain. And I think people like Tim Russert and the others, who gave this guy such a free ride and all the media, they're the ones to be shot, not Karl Rove. Listen, maybe Karl Rove was not perfect. We live in an imperfect world. And I give him credit for having the guts.
----
Jesus Christ on a trailer hitch. Shoot the press?

He also said we were at war and Wilson was undermining the President while we were at war.

Also, Jesus Christ on a trailer hitch. Wilson went to Niger BEFORE the Shrub invaded Iraq! We were not at war. Wilson was following the spirit of the Iraq war resolution, which asked that the war Shrub determine if Saddam had weapons and to get weapons inspectors back into Iraq to determine the threat. WILSON (and Blix) were helping to determine the threat. That is what congress -- the only body that can declare war, constitutionally speaking-- had voted to do.

Who votes for these dishonest shit heads (like King) anyway?

7. One too many punches to the head perhaps?
Edited on Wed Jul-13-05 12:45 PM by suegeo
I don't mean to insult people who box, but one of the stories you link to says King is a boxer?

Maybe he took one punch too many to the head.

He calls for a journalist (Well, ok, potato head russert isn't much of a journalist) TO BE SHOT.

He thinks breaking the law and outing an intelligence agent (an expert on WMDs!) are worthy of a medal.

The true republican radicals are deeply nuts, and they scare me.

8. The new talking point went out and they all sound
ridiculous trying to explain it. If the administration had a problem with Wilson, why not deal with him directly? Going after his wife sounds like the harsh punishment it was meant to be and I doubt the American people want to think of their government as taking personal retribution against someone with whom they disagree. Even Bush supporters can figure that out.
