Question about New Mexico HPV Vaccine Mandate
Word is that the Gardasil vaccine will be mandatory for 6th grade
girls in New Mexico

New Mexico Prepares To Pass Compulsory HPV Vaccine
New Mexico is about to pass legislation making it compulsory
for girls going into the sixth grade to be vaccinated against
the Human Papillomavirus (HPV).

Can folks in New Mexico advise about "after the mandate"?

If all 6th grade (or whichever grade) girls are required to get the vacccine:

- how will a record of their vaccination be tracked - on paper or a database?

- how will it be explained to girls that they must be vaccinated against the genital wart virus while boys are not?

- will parents or schools be mandated to explain to the girls what the vaccine is for?

- if girls become sick as a result of the vaccine, will the government pay damages?

- do all 6th grade girls who were vaccinated (not opted out)-have to be re-vaccinated again in 9th grade?

- will the government remove any girls from school who didn't re-vaccinate?

- will the girls again have to be vaccinated in the 12th grade or in their first year of college?

- could your vaccination records later be required for employment?
