By: Associated Press

SANTA FE (AP) - Attorney General Patricia Madrid has endorsed former Texas Representative Martin Frost for the chairmanship of the Democratic National Committee. <snip>

Frost served 26 years in Congress. He lost his re-election bid in November after redistricting paired him against a Republican incumbent.

Madrid is a member of the DNC executive committee and is chairwoman of the National Democratic Attorneys General Association. <snip>

The New Mexico DNC delegation has also endorsed Alvaro Cifuentes for party vice chairman. Cifuentes is chairman of the Democratic Hispanic Caucus.

1. Frost represented me
for 21 of those years and my parents for the whole 26 years. He is a good choice IMHO.

2. We're having a nice Frost v. Dean argument over in the Texas forum
if anyone would care to come visit. I'll be posting more facts as I collect them. The Texas delegation, FWIW, will probably stand with Frost.

3. Just what we don't need
What is wrong with her? We are quite happy with the DR. What we don't need is advice from redstate politicians who can't deliver their home states
