Tamaya Resort...

Hi NM DUers!

Mrs. Chiburb and I will be staying at Tamaya for 5 nights beginning a week from Wed. Any desire for a meet-up in SF or ABQ? We can certainly commit to a few hours with like-minded Dems, even if it interrupts our R&R! :-)

Also: Does the weather stay nice late Sep. and early Oct.? I hear that the pools are all outdoors at Tamaya...

1. Late September and early October

is the best part of the year here in New Mexico. Days are warm and nights are chilly enough for good sleeping. The monsoon rains are over and the sunshine is almost relentless. There is an international hot air balloon fiesta in Albuquerque (with 700-1000 ballons going up on the weekends) and the Wool Festival in Taos for fibre crafts.

Careful, though, this area can be addictive. The state motto is "Land of Enchantment." Quite a few of us think it should be "Land of Entrapment," because once you stay here for a while, you never want to leave.
