There are several other threads that you can post on as well.

Domenici's Unfortunate Support for Massive SCHIP Expansion

Recently, I criticized Rep. Heather Wilson's support for a massive tax hike to expand SCHIP. What I didn't mention was that retiring New Mexico Sen. Pete Domenici supported the same plan to expand the program by raising taxes, despite President Bush's veto. Domenici argues his case here.

While Domenici is certainly more conservative than Wilson, this is not the first time he has been "off the reservation," especially on health care. In fact, it is particularly ironic that Domenici supported SCHIP expansion at the same time as he has finally succeeded in pushing his mental health parity legislation through the Senate.

For someone who claims not to support government-run health care, he sure likes to dabble in ways that are bound to make insurance and health care in general more expensive, thus forcing more and more Americans onto the government dole that he claims to abhor.

Why should it be such a shock that socialists like Wilson and Domenici support socialism?

How come the free market think tankers never seem to ask those who dispute free market ideas "What do you propose as an alternative to the free market that will do a better job for more people at a lower price?"

As for Wilson and Domenici isn't it time to simply acknowledge that they are just socialists and move on.

1. Wilson and Domenici are socialists?
Wilson and Domenici are socialists??!*! LOL

How did you come up with that??!!?

I suggest that you read more, dialogue more, learn more... The free market has been shown not to apply to health care, among other issues. How come the CEOs of the health insurance corporations make $MILLIONS and yet 46-50 million US citizens are without health care coverage? Free markets only help those at the top. The gap between the haves and have nots has increased dramatically under Bush's privatization schemes. We, regular people, are hurting under Bush/Cheney.

3. The Rio Grande Foundation is a libertarian group, and anyone who votes for something for the . . .
people is a socialist to them. Heather isn't even close to be a socialist. She takes money from the likes of Blackwater and her votes reflect this. I've been watching her votes for years. She votes party line, just as she is told to do by those who hand picked her. They go as far as calling her a liberal if it will get people to vote for her. sorry folks my hands are full of new kitty, and I'll be silent for a while. his mommy dropped him at our door step & every time type he heads for the keyboard
