Help Save the NJ Highlands -There's No Time to Waste
Write, email, fax or phone your state representatives today, if you haven't already.

The Highlands Protection legislation is under consideration in both the Senate and Assembly. You can be sure that the developers have an intense lobbying effort underway.

It is especially critical to contact your representative if he/she is a member of the Senate/Assembly Environment Committee.

The NY/NJ Trail Conference has an excellent site with lots of background information and details on how to take action.

1. Be careful
The state's official site for the Highlands task force is savethehighlands.ORG. I just tried logging into savethehighlands.COM and was treated to GOP propaganda.

The best information out there comes courtesy of one of the bill's sponsors: www.senatorbobsmith.org.
