1. Dems need to have longer memories!
We let them get away with this crap and forget about it at election time.

We need to learn our lesson per Lakoff! When this guy is up for re-election, repeat this over and over. Make him choke on his own words. Something tells me this won't be the only thing to push back at this guy.

Remember when * made seemingly unintelligible, disjointed comments during the debates? He was repeating his "mantra"/keywords and the sheeples fell for it. Well considered thoughts seem to be a thing of the past.

2. it's more complicated than that
NH Democrats don't have a stable of candidates they're grooming for any office. Every election seems to be a surprise to our state party heirarchy. When Saynono is up for election, the party will scramble to find someone to run against him - more than likely they'll dredge up someone who is an old school Shaheen Dem without a prayer of winning. And the cycle will continue.

3. huh?
We have so many on our "bench" that it is not funny, I am not sure what Maxanne's personal issue is, she needs to get out of her house more.

As for potential candidates for higher office we have eight great state senators (Sylvia Larsen, Lou D'Allesandro, Iris Estabrook, Joe Foseter, Peter Burling, Martha Fuller Clark, Maggie Hassan, Dave Gottesman, more than a dozen former state senators, Councilor Pignatelli, Mayor Baines, Dick and Katrina Swett, Jim Craig, his leadership team and about 50 House members that could be great future major candidates (you really should get out of your house and come down to the State House and see our great Dems in action).

We have people like Phil McLaughlin, John Kacavas, Jim Normand, Ned Helms, Paul Hodes, Justin Nadeau, Bob Bruce, Mike Vlacich, Rich Sigel, Mark MacKenzie, Jim Casey and dozens more I could list.

What we really need are Dems actually organizing their local and county organizations, writing letters to the editor and other things holding the Republicans accountable and praising Democratic leadership and proposals instead of making up stuff and posting it on the internet.

4. tell us, Ray
Who ya got in the hinterlands? Did you send out thank you's to all the folks who ran for office in 2004? The Republicans did.

I appreciate your sarcasm, immensely, however. I spend a great deal of time organizing in the wilderness, and spend plenty of time in Concord as well.

You'd be FAR better served to listen to the discontented Democrats, rather than dismissing them with such condescension. It may be hard to wrap your ego around the concept, but you could learn some things if you spent LESS time in Concord and more time talking to real people.

5. Give me a call Maxanne
Well, hmmm...Since I attend a progressive cause meeting or Democratic event nearly every night throughout the state (and elsewhere - in fact last Wednesday I spoke to the So. Vermont DFA meetup in Bellows Falls) I find it curious that I have never met you. I don't recall ever meeting a Maxanne. If you are such a had working successful organizer I find it curious that I don't know who you are.

I can't find anyone with the first or last name of "Maxanne" as either an activist, contributor, candidate, office holder or anything else in the state.

I know that the Republicans have paid "trolls" to stir up progressives against the Democratic Party. And I am sure that is not you, right?

Why don't you give me a call and invite me to your house (and invite anyone else that is discontented too) to meet with you? You can call me at the NHDP at 225-6899 or email me at RepBuckley@aol.com if you don't have a phone.

I am always willing to meet with anyone, anytime, anywhere to build the NH Democratic Party...I bet you would be suprised at how much we agree.

Yep, I'm a paid troll. I'm good, too - I've been fooling folks for years. I should get a raise.

7. Thank you
Thank you for admitting it. I appreciate your honesty.

How sad is it though?

First, "Jeff Gannon", now "Maxanne"...you should be ashamed or yourself.

9. Please write your NH newspapers about this.
From moveleft.com:

Senator John Sununu (R-NH)

A seniors group, the AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) is opposed to Bush's plan to divert money from the Social Security fund into private accounts.

Senator John Sununu (Republican-New Hampshire) decided to respond to this with an ugly remark.

From the AP, via the Seattle Times ("Bush, allies try to undercut AARP" by Laura Meckler, Mar. 9, 2005):

"AARP doesn't care about the children or grandchildren of their own membership, and I think that's very shortsighted," Sen. John Sununu, R-N.H., contended yesterday.

John Sununu is the one who wants to burden America's grandchildren with trillions in debt.

John Sununu is the one who wants to reduce their guaranteed Social Security benefits.

But John Sununu is so rotten, that he has the gall to insult people standing up against this horrible scheme.
