Gen. Clark tries different strategy over the weekend
When General Wesley Clark comes back to New Hampshire on Saturday he will try something that is largely unprecedented.

Instead of entirely helping Gov. John Lynch, State Senate candidates, or the state Democratic Party as many potential presidential candidates have been doing, Clark will be attending a series of house parties for State HOUSE candidates.

Clark is scheduled to attend several private house parties in Londonderry, Salem, Franklin and Littleton that may not end up on his public schedule.

State Democrats are more motivated in House races than they have been in recent years now that Democrats have won 7 of 8 special elections.

1. Smart strategy
By helping out folks closer to the grassroots, Clark will meet a a better mix of people than he would if he stuck to the party regulars who attend state senate fundraisers.

I'd also say attaboy to Bill Richardson. He's attending an event with Rep. Hector Velez and many of the folks in Manchester's growing Latino community. The state is changing, and Richardson is ahead of the curve.

2. Does anyone have a list of where he'll be?
One frustrating thing is that I seem to only hear about these visits the day before at best...
