Portsmouth has a Democratic mayor!
New Hampshire's most Democratic city has a Democratic mayor for the first time in years.

City Councilor Steve Marchand topped the field and, as the top vote getter in the citywide council race, will become the Port City's new mayor.

Steve is a smart, dedicated guy. He has done a solid job as a councilor and will do even better things as mayor.

Congratulations to the Mayor-elect, his wife Sandie Hennequin, and their daughters Maggie and Abigail!

2. new state rep
NH also has a new state representative - Rep. Jean Jeudy, a Haitian immigrant, was elected in a special election, making him the first Haitan-American to serve in our legislature!
