No wonder this is a red state
This is a letter to the Omaha world Herald Public Pulse section last Friday. Read on.

> Rain cleans the air
>
> Believe what you see, not what someone tells you. Some people will tell
> you that there is global warming, asbestos causes cancer and homosexuals
> are not sinners.
>
> They will tell you over and over that God did not make the world and its
> people, we need more owls and wolves, we need more wetlands and God
> should not have written the Ten Commandments. They all think Jesus
> should not be our Lord and Savior.
>
> A one-world government would be successful if Jesus managed it. I do not
> want to take orders from anyone else.
>
> Greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide; it causes grass, trees and crops to
> grow faster. Endangered species are mostly unnecessary species. We do
> not need the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or the Endangered
> Species Act. Bureaucrats make rules that damage businesses.
>
> There is an unlimited amount of clean air. The wind stirs it, and the
> rains clean it. We do not need laws to control air.

5. Poor old Willard is problem going die from Cancer
Poor old Willard will probably suffer the death of his wife at the age of 52 of breast cancer because there was a drought and the lack of rain meant the air was dirty to breath and the harmful dirty air gave her breast cancer. The doctor said there was a research drug that might have helped his wife beat the cancer, but the plant used to make the drug is located in a rain forest, which were all cut down. Then Willard and his wife found out their doctoc was a homosexual, so they stopped going to get treatment (what good is science anyway?). They then spent every morning at Church praying and asking for forgiveness.

8. 2500 years ago
people were sure Zeus and Apollo and Jupiter ruled the universe as gods. These modern religions are not much different to me. I have to believe it's simply a way to control masses of people, the same as it likely was in ancient times.

9. I have met some great people in Nebraska
Idiocy knows no borders. In Ohio we have a State Rep who thinks
the EPA causes all the job loss in the State.

10. He's Obviously Never Done Any Housework
Edited on Mon Aug-01-05 09:15 PM by iamjoy
I am going to respond and dispute his juvenile logic with more juvenile logic since he obviously doesn't believe in science.

"There is an unlimited amount of clean air. The wind stirs it, and the rains clean it."

Well, if you have ever mopped a floor, you know there is more to it then just throwing water out and waiting for it to dry it. Even if you just drag a mop across it, all you are doing is pushing around and rearranging the dirt. You must continually rinse the mop and change the water (depending on the size of the floor being cleaned and how dirty it is). Likewise, you do not dust by just blowing across the surface or carelessly sweeping a cloth across it. This will only stir the dust around. You must use an absorbent rag or cloth, perhaps moistened. You must "pick up" the dirt and then wash or discard the rag/cloth.

Male chauvinist pig. If he ever helped his wife around the house he would know this.

11. Our you kidding me
Willard has to go to work to put Bread on the table for his family. It is hard work to put bread on the table, so your family can eat. Last year, Willard employer took his overtime pay away cause the poor CEO wasn't making enough money and had to pay for the employees health care. Damn Liberals. So Willard had to take a night job stacking shelves at the Super Wal Mart. And you think he has time to help his wife with housework? All she does is watch Oprah and Dr. Phil, she has plenty of time to do the housework.

My Van was listed as being E85 compatible, I put it in, ran just fine, but always had a hard time starting it with e85 because of vapor lock. Had to switch back to regular.

15. What can you say about things like this?
Some people are stupid and want to remain stupid. I hope less people were nodding in agreement to this than I think. Some people in Nebraska are awfully simple. I think it's very dangerous when people stop believing basic science because someone told them "it's liberal" Those kind of people raise stupid kids and before you know it everyone is stupid and nothing works because "Jesus is mad at us for turning away from him" when in fact nothing works because people are too fucking stupid to make anything anymore. THIS is why religion has no place in government or in public schools.

17. you too?
Several times after I got letters published in the LJS, someone snail-mailed me an envelope stuffed with right-wing rants. One message actually said something about liberals taking up too many parking spaces. Another time someone left a phone message that was just as incoherent as the written letters.

We may have the same "fan".
