Montana vigils?
In Bozeman, around 100-120 people showed up for Bozeman's vigil this evening. Featured speakers were 2004 House candidate Tracy Velazquez, and a very special appearance by Jeanette Rankin. By far most of the people driving by were supportive of our cause.

1. smile for the special appearance
Wouldn't that be nice to have Jeannette drop in??

We had 26 people in Laramie, WY. Beyond what we expected and lots of very favorable reaction from those who drove by. (We were on a main downtown intersection.)

Wonder if there was anyone standing in solidarity with Cindy in Fort Benton, DinoBoy. :-)

2. News article for Bozeman
Democrats organize peace vigil in Bozeman

By WALT WILLIAMS, Chronicle Staff Writer

"Kill one person and you are a murderer," read the sign held by a peace protester. "Kill 100,000 and you are George W. Bush."

Dozens of people gathered in front of the Gallatin County Courthouse Wednesday to silently protest the war in Iraq during a candlelight vigil co-sponsored by the Gallatin County Democrats.

The vigil was one of hundreds across the country held Wednesday in support of Cindy Sheehan, a mother whose son was killed in Iraq and is now camping outside Bush's ranch in Texas until she gets an audience with the president.

3. We had a simular number in MSLA, maybe a few more. Channel
8 news (local) led with the vigil and also talked about how many were taking place around the country. They interviewed a participant who was very good.
