Hardin jail inks contract with California company for inmates, other services

Two Rivers Authority, which owns the idle jail in Hardin, has signed a 10-year contract with American Private Police Force Organization Inc. which hopes to house prisoners there and plans to build a training center for national and international police and security forces.

The company, which has international operations, is credible, Smith said, albeit much of its work has not been public. The private security company's Web site advertises services for investigations, kidnapping and ransom, convoy security in Iraq and Afghanistan and weapon sales. The company, which claims to be able to organize a special force battalion for deployment within 72 hours, is registered as a limited liability corporation in California.

Calls to confirm whether the company has contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense were not returned Thursday. The address provided on the company's Web site for Washington, D.C., leads to the business Preferred Offices, which leases real and "virtual" offices. That company's director, Ashley Corner, said it does not have a service agreement with any business named American Private Police Force Organization.

"We have no knowledge of this organization or company, or what their intent is or not," said Dwight MacKay, U.S. Marshal for Montana.

Has Montana lost it's mind? You are going to allow a private security company to come in and take over the unused prison in Hardin? If you read the comments section of this article, it's very unclear who these guys are but looks like they may be Serbian and may be connected to XE Blackwater. Do your State Senators know about this? Do Tester and Baucus? Do you really want California to import prisoners to your state and XE or their ilk setting up training facilities in Northern Montana? According to the article, they will not be under the jurisdiction of either the Montana Department of Corrections OR the U.S, Marshalls? WTF?

THIS IS NOT JUST BEING PLANNED AS A FACILIITY TO HOUSE GUANTANAMO DETAINEES, READ THE ARTICLE, IT'S A FULL BLOWN BLACKWATER TYPE TRAINING FACILITY.

1. Is there room in there for Max Baucus?
Please, lock that health-care-corporation-beholden asshole up before he does any more damage to this country.
