HATE FREE KC is a group of local Kansas City folks concerned about the Conference of the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps taking place at the Uptown Theater in mid-town KCMO in early February. We are outraged that the Uptown would host this white supremacist, vigilante group and want to make it clear that their message is not welcome in our city. Anti-racist activists, immigrants' rights advocates, and ALL community members that want a HATE FREE KC are invited to an open meeting to discuss possible coordinated resistance. Please join us and bring your ideas, community contacts and commitment to social justice!

It also wouldn't hurt to let the owner of The Uptown know that his offer for the minutemen to use his building for free is repulsive to us who do frequent The Uptown. Or maybe I should say "used to frequent" The Uptown.
