to political cronies.
Specifically, the sale of a revenue Office to the wife of US Attorney Todd Graves, brother of Rep. Sam Graves of MO.
The untold nasty backstory is this.
In Missouri, as in many of the other cases of fired US Attorney's, the problem stems from the inability (or refusal) of the US Attornies to prosecute what Rove and Bush have previously termed "Voter Fraud" (you know, illegal immigrants sneaking across the border and traveling 1000 miles to vote Democratic, while risking five years in the penitentiary, while impersonating your dead Grandfather??).
They (Bush and Rove) are now calling this type act (which has never happened, BTW) by the name of "Election Fraud".
Of course, you and I know the difference.
"Voter Fraud" is where some numbskull tries to vote in two different precincts, risking a five year stretch, and if they are successful they manage to get one whole vote extra for their candidate.
"Election Fraud" is when a person or persons, unknown, attempt to alter the vote counting process by adding, subtracting, switching votes, or by means of disenfranchisement of voters, to deny votes being cast, in order to alter what would otherwise be the honest results of an election.
So, next time the GOP lies to you about voting (say, like, "Touchscreens are safe, and help the disabled!!"), insist on "truth in labeling" of those lies!
Just remember.
"Voter Fraud" = "Voter Fraud", and is carried out by dummies, who are sent up the river.
"Election Fraud" = "Election Fraud", and is carried out by elected officials and their employees who, even if they are caught redhanded, are never prosecuted.
Ohh, yeah. What does this have to do with Mr. Sampson?? Well, as hatchet man for Gonzo, he had to identify the US Attorneys who were prosecuting "Voter Fraud" while ignoring "Election Fraud".
And since Missouri's big attempt to quash the Democrats votes hung on Senate Bill 1014 (the Photo Voter ID law) of 2006, wherein those without IDs (about 180,000) had to go to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles for IDs (freshly sold to Blunt's political cronies at bargain basement prices), it could have been that those newly private BMVs would not have stayed open late, or hired extra employees, to allow the extra 180,000 voters to get IDs.
And who would make that decision (hint: the wife of the the Western US attorney, and sister-in-law of Sam Graves) and who would benefit (hint: NOT the Democrats)?
