This weather is getting so freaky.

We don't seem to be getting very many thunder storms but when we do get one it is a real doozey.

2. I'm house sitting in west county and have
electricity but my friends in U City and south county have not had electricity since Wednesday.

My workplace in Earth City didn't have electricity on Thursday and had it only for a few hours today.

3. I have some bad news
I just heard that FEMA is getting involved - so it may be a long time before power comes back.

No actually it just said that St. Louis was declared a disaster area so will be eligable for Fema funds. I was lucky - for some reason I only had a few branches down and still have power. It's out at work though - and my parent's power is out but mine and my brothers is on so they can go to our houses to do laundry or store food, etc. I spent the day backing up files off the work computer here at home.

It is at least cooling down it seems.

4. Just got my power back!
after a miserable 2 days, 4 hours without. What a experience... daily ice & battery hunting, taking cold showers several times a day, reading by flashlight, worrying about the cats getting overheated. Someone in Kmart said there were 800 dogs at the Humane Society keeping cool. People really banded together though, helping each other out.
