I live in Southwest Missouri and it is certainly freepers vill. However, I have been networking with progressive groups and have a list of 60 people! Is kirksville near Chiloclothi? sp? I use to live in Jamesport, little amish town, it was hell.

I'm only here for college, then on to Alaska.

However, I can tell you that Kirksville is about 10-15 miles north of La Plata and about 50 miles north of Moberly...does that help?

Further edit: There are some progressives here on campus, but they spend so much time arguing with freeper types that they claim that they don't have any time for DU, LOL!

I know Alaska contains a lot of freeps, but it also has a strong environmentalist contingent. I love snow and cold. Which might seem odd considering I lived in Arizona longer than any other state; guess that's just my natural reaction to desert climates.

But Arizona isn't all sand dunes; when I was 5 (or was it 6?), we had a HUGE Thanksgiving Day blizzard--26 inches worth. (This was in Prescott, elev. 5200) Oh, I had fun, lol.

Of course I will vote in Alaska. I had the privilege of spending three weeks there with an Alaskan native and boy, did I have lots of questions. I want to teach United States history in Anchorage. I hear they're pretty desperate to attract population.

I left because I did not make many friends. I returned home and will graduate from SMSU in three weeks. :)
