Jay Nixon “very interested” in challenging Matt Blunt

I think this is communication to camp MaCaskill that will compell her to the US Senate:

Sedalia — Democratic Attorney General Jay Nixon said this morning that he is “very interested” in challenging Republican Gov. Matt Blunt in the 2008 election...

“I don’t want to be overly critical of the governor at this juncture, other than to say the values and priorities I would bring to office would be different than the current incumbent,” said.

The only statewide elected official not at the ham breakfast was Democratic State Auditor Claire McCaskill, who is weighing whether to challenge Republican U.S. Senator Jim Talent in 2006. She has pledged to announce her decision by Labor Day.

I'm an escaped Missourian - I was born and lived in KC for 33 years and still have unescaped family there. I've always been a big fan of Jay Nixon and even made up a pin reading, "THIS Nixon's The One!" for one election. Just hope he stays away from small aircraft for a while.

He's a racist, a homophobe and may as well join that "other" party since his thinking is more in line with them than anything remotely Democratic.

unless I can be convinced otherwise, I won't vote for Nixon.

If he runs for Gov, I'll have to vote Green (if they run a candidate - if they don't :shrug:)
