F911 - will it be shown here?
I'm sure it will be - I give it a run of about 2 weeks, however.

I'll be there opening weekend - really interested in seeing how many people show up for it the day it opens.

I'm eager to sit in a room with a bunch of like-minded people since I'm in a cubefarm w/the wingnuts all day.

1. Nope, not according to the F911 Ticket link on the front page of DU
The only southern state without a showing of F911? Guess.

2. Let me add, though...
In which part of the state do you live?

There are two Baton Rouge theatres showing it, if you don't mind the drive.

4. I checked the movie site today....
it's only being show in one theater in Tupelo. Unbelievable. Not a single theatre in Jackson, Meridian, the Gulf Coast - anywhere! - is willing to show the movie phenomenon of the year. I guess it's the triumph of fear over sensibility. I live in Stone County, in the southern panhandle, one county away from the coast, so it's not all that far to Mobile or New Orleans. But what a disgrace! Nevertheless, I intend to order the DVD. Do you think Mississippi will ever wake up? How is it possible for an entire state to keep voting against its own best interests, year after year? If we were the richest state in the union, I could understand it, but we're not. We're the poorest. *sigh* And likely to stay that way, too.
