Minnesota bill to prevent death-with-dignity?
Schiavo Case Spurring Statehouse Debate
1 hour, 59 minutes ago U.S. National - AP

By ROBERT TANNER, AP National Writer

...Legislation has also been introduced in Alabama, Hawaii, Louisiana, Minnesota and South Dakota. The Louisiana bill is called the "Human Dignity Act"; Alabama's is the "Starvation and Dehydration Prevention Act."

What bill is he talking about?

2. Tell them to go on FindLaw
and look up the Nancy Cruzan Case. The US Supreme Court already ruled on feeding tubes back in 1990.

Seems to me too many legislators themselves are in PVS.

6. Yup, that is the one!
Sickening, isn't it.

I hearby declare all people below the poverty line to be impoverished. We must feed them.

7. What if someone is on a hunger strike?
What about people in jail? If they go on hunger strikes, must they be fed?

Tough questions for the HIPPOcrites!

8. Medical marijuana
If these people are so concerned about preventing pain and suffering, it will be very interesting to see how Fischbach and her minions vote on legalizing medical marijuana.

9. Okay. Don't starve and dehydrate people:
Give to them what seems to be reserved for mass killers and morbid rapists: A nice cozy lethal injection.

Why the !&@^#%$ do the vile get a nice easy death while the terminally ill, of which no cure is possible, get to whither and suffer? Who the hell would WANT to live like that? (and one should have the right if they want.) But the government needs to stay the hell out of our lives and not pass this shit to force us to remain on a bunch of machines while the family is forced to pay because the government, apart from saying we're going to be force-fed, won't do a damn thing. (Shiavo had a big malpractice award; if it wasn't for that she wouldn't have lived even remotely long enough TO become newsworthy in the latest mainstream media circus act.) One that neocons want to get rid of because the poor Doctor *sniff* made one widdle mistake and shouldn't be hung out to dry... :eyes: )
