I'm trying to figure out this MN travel ad
A woman is running down streets, pursued by a bunch of men, she takes off most of her clothes, and jumps into a lake.

It's an ad from the MN tourist agency, it jsut doesn't really make sense to me.

2. They most certainly do not
have more lakes. More beer and cheese, maybe . . .
More bowlers per capita

3. More lakes? We might need a recount
And I demand that we include "Lake Nobody" located in my basement.

The rain can stop any time now.

4. geez...
So according to that ad, men in Minnesota are scary stalkers? What a way to attract people to our lovely state... :eyes: I don't blame you for not getting it.

5. I think there's some women chasing her too.
The obvious point being, you can get away from the stress in your life (which pursues you relentlessly) by heading "up nort" to a nice lake for some swimming. Oh yah, you betcha.

6.  I get it! So instead _everyone_ in Minnesota is a scary stalker!
Although I think your explanation is more plausible. :) I still think it sounds like a dumb ad, though.

7. It is just kind of strange.
At least to me.

BTW, does Minnesota have any lakes the size of Lake Winnebago?
Just curious.

I like the little lakes myself, better fishing.

8. Several of them are larger.
Upper Red Lake, Lower Red Lake, Lake Mille Lacs, Lake Of The Woods, Vermillion Lake, Leech Lake I think is bigger, and I'm sure Lake Winnibigoshish is close to its size.

9. Yeah Leach Lake is as big as either Red Lake
And interestingly enough, although the motto on our license plates in "Land of 10,000 Lakes", we actually have closer to 16,000 lakes total.

Lake of the Woods is 950,400 acres total with 307,010 acres in Minnesota.

Ten largest lakes of Wisconsin:
Lake Winnebago - 137,708 acres
Lake Pepin - 27,813 acres

11. Of course, we have Lake Michigan...
Just kidding.

But some of those Lake names, I think Wisconsin and Minnesota have the market sewn up in screwy names for places. :-)
