Bernie Sanders!!!!!

Unfortnately, tickets start at $75.00 (other details below).

I am truly pleased that the DFL managed to get the most Democratic member of the Senate to speak and, it being for Founders' Day, the member that might even have a touch of Farmer Laborite in him as well. I also enjoy the irony that they had to go outside the party to do it.

1. Do you have a link to the site where we can reserve seats?

3. Just saw Bernie Sanders at Fighting Bob Fest in Wisconsin
He was one of many great speakers and I wouldn't mind seeing him again, but I am not going to pay $75 for it. I must say it is strange to see Bernie Sanders speaking to raise money for the DFL though, he is not even a Democrat. He may be a reliable vote for Democrats, but I did not expect to see him delivering the keynote at any Democratic Party event.

Fighting Bob Fest seemed much more his style, very progressive but not partisan.

4. I wonder if the Progressive Caucus somehow got the majority on the planning committee
and invited him as a message to Amy and the other DLCers: "This is what the DEMOCRATS are supposed to be doing and saying."

5. That's an interesting idea
I really can't afford to go to this, but it would be interesting to see how Klobuchar deals with being in the vicinity of an actual liberal. When she did her interview with Gary Eichten during the State Fair she mentioned working with Lindsay Graham a few times :wtf: I don't recall her mentioning Senator Sanders - or anyone that might be considered to the left of the aisle at all.
