OK, I am ready.

To do whatever it takes to bring democracy, freedom, real security and all the other good things some of which we had, some of which we were promised. As soon as possibly can happen. I am going to go to my caucus and try to work with effective like minded people to start the process. I will join with whoever will be able to get things done.

Who can I support that can win that will be on our side? I admit I have been lax at keeping up this last year.

So many of our organizations are mired in rhetoric with no action. So many people fraudulently take on our cause only to keep us from rising up. Is Allan Greyson one of those? I don't know.

I cannot leave this mess for my grandchildren. I should have died many times over the years but did not perhaps it is for this moment. I have responsibilities but I will find ways to let others help with those so I am free to do what needs to be done.

My situation woke me up during the Reagan years and awful time to be sick and poor but it is even worse now. Some of you were reawakened during the Clinton witch hunt. Some of you were there with me in Wellstones office begging them not to let the (s)election stand. Some of you were there when we picketed Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and possibly set her to thinking about her decision and speaking out later. Younger voices and new voices have come. Some of you have inspired me with your feet on the ground activism and activism in the trenches of the party. I am ready. What do we do now, what do I do tomorrow?

I may see you on February 2. I still haven't decided on my choice for Governor, and my congresswoman is great as she is. I plan to push to be a delegate at the state DFL convention this time, and think I can get a spot.

But, I'm still studying the Governor's race. I insist that the candidate I support be able to win, and that limits the choices.

I'm in St. Paul, W-6, P-13. State Senate District 67. Betty McCollum's our 4th District Congresswoman, and she's terrific and a sure winner in the district.
