And guns are "allowed" on Amtrak on the same basis they are "allowed" on scheduled airline flights---unloaded, locked, checked, and secured in the baggage compartment. This just repeals the stupid Bush ban on lawfully transporting guns on trains enacted as part of Bush's Terrah! power grab.

And for my two-cents worth, I see this as a non-issue. Allowing Amtrak passengers to carry handguns in checked baggage as long as they declare them--as airline passengers are allowed to do--seems pretty reasonable. And I don't often side with the NRA.

Klobuchar has far worse issues to explain, such as her fondness for Minnesota Teen Challenge...

3. As far as "photographs being banned," it's part of a chronic communication problem that Amtrak

police and Amtrak brass have...a guy taking pics for an Amtrak photo contest was cited for taking photos from a train platform a couple years ago.

And I agree with you about the guys. The gun thing is a non-issue.
