Based on last year's turnout to free Obama events, if you want to get in, you should probably show up early.
And you have to be able to go for hours without liquids.
Email from Al Franken:
Dear Friend,
After spending the month of August talking to folks around the state, there's no question in my mind that Minnesotans are ready to finally see health insurance reform get done.
As is the tradition in Minnesota, there's been vigorous, substantive debate about the issue. And today, I'm thrilled to invite you down to the Target Center this Saturday (doors open at 9:30am) for a rally to hear President Obama speak about his plans to fix our broken health care system.
I agree with what the President said so well last night - providing stability and security for Americans who have insurance and affordable coverage to those who don't is a moral imperative for America.
It's also a fiscal imperative for our country's economy - if we don't reduce the exploding cost of health care (it's doubled in the last decade) there's no way to truly turn our economy around for the long haul.
Thanks so much for all you've done and all you'll do, and I hope you'll join us this Saturday. All the details are below.
Best,
Al
