I received a mailing from the NRCC yesterday, it attacks David Dillon,

the Independence Party candidate in the 3rd District. It claims that Dillon is "too liberal" for Minnesota. This immediately caught my eye, as I have yet to find any candidate who is "too liberal". The reason they're saying this about him is he supports "universal heathcare" (gasp!) and "Gay marriage" (double gasp).

What's interesting is the literature makes no mention of Madia. I'm wondering if this mailing may have been meant to target DFLers or, if they're working from the right list, people who obviously lean left in the hopes that calling this guy "too liberal" will siphon votes from Madia (and so help Paulson). Up until yesterday, I wasn't even sure the IP had a candidate in the 3rd.
