Todd Palin to campaign in northern Minnesota
http://www.startribune.com/politics/national/30866884.html

The husband of Alaska Governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will visit the Iron Range and northwestern Minnesota this week.

John McCain's Minnesota campaign says Todd Palin is expected to speak with voters and outdoors enthusiasts in Duluth, Grand Rapids and Bemidji on Thursday. He'll then visit Thief River Falls and Moorhead on Friday.

Palin will tour the state with his snowmobile racing partner Scott Davis, who's a native of Grand Rapids.

The McCain campaign has been trying to gain ground in northeastern Minnesota, which has traditionally supported Democrats. The campaign has held several "Sportsmen for McCain-Palin" events in the area to appeal to outdoors enthusiasts.

I see this as a waste of time in the Iron Range, while they may share similar hobbies, the bottom line matters more. Even in the Red River Valley it will be harder, this is still Colin Peterson's territory (as large as CD 7 is), so it will still be hard to get votes.

1. Michelle Obama in southern MN (Rochester) on Monday morning.
Then St. Paul on Monday afternoon, and Minneapolis on Monday night.

2. Ja?
I don't know, the Range might be a lost cause for him and I think he's more apt to be racists in the northwestern part of the state who might be persueaded to vote against their own best interests by a snow-mobilin', animal killin', white dude like Todd. (I wish there was a way I could type Todd, so you'd know that, in my head, I'm hear Lisa Lupner everytime his name in mentioned.)

Colin Peterson really is a DINO so I wouldn't depend on the 7th. When I heard someone from the coordinated campaign say they thought there was a possibility of the Democrats taking all 8 of Minnesota's congressioanl districts I got myself in trouble when I said I hadn't hear Peterson wasn't running.
