Who else went to the Kerry rally in Minneapolis?
The crowd was huge, Kerry was great. Max Cleland was there, too, did the intro with Walter Mondale. I'm waiting for the news to find out how many people showed up. Anybody have an estimate?

4. 35,000 according to WCCO, 30,000 - KSTP
Was great to be among so many like minded people, so many banners and buttons and stickers. WCCO said that this was the largest political rally.... Bush drew 17,000 in Chanhassen but, then, of course, his was by oath of loyalty only.

5. caught the very end.
couldn't leave work early.
but got a thumbs up from The Man as his motocade left the Hump Dome.
Wonder if the ghost of Hubert Humphrey turned up to give his blessing?

9. MNfats we must have been standing on the same corner!
I loved that as the Kerry motorcade went by Kerry was sitting right by the window and was enthusiastically giving us two thumbs up! He looked really happy!

6. I was there
I've been working really really hard on the campaign -unemployed so lots of time. So I had a pass to get in to the stage seating actually in the bleachers - We almost froze to death because we were high enough to be in the wind. We had a great view of Kerry and the sound was very good there. I thought the crowd was around 40 to 45 thousand but I'll take the 35 thousand estimate. Really good speech and the crowd seemed very fired up so I'm hoping that translate into great voter turnout.

7. I was there.
It was a great experience.

I'd do it all again.

I'll admit that if it had been held in a suburb, instead of at the dome in Minneapolis, I wouldn't have gone. (I went because I could walk there. I don't enjoy driving to large events because, well, what a pain to park the car!)

8. I was there too!
I was blessed to be a red ticket holder so I stood about 20ft from Kerry during his entire speech. I loved his humor as he asked how were we going to fix the problems in America and many people near me were yelling out, "Get rid of Bush!" He came over near us leaned down and said, "I'm getting to that part...see I'm leading up to a big cresendo when I'm going to say Get rid of Bush! But first we gotta have some fun!"

15. I was there!
It was fantastic!
Kerry seemed a little tired, but it was the kind of tired you see in someone who has worked his ass off for the last two years to get this country back on track.
And I loved it when the crowd went nuts for Max!
