Why is Michele Bachmann hosting a New Orleans fundraiser for a Colorado congressman?

Bachmann has not held one public meeting with 6th CD constituents since she was elected. Yet she can find the time to go to the Big Easy to host a fundraiser for a Colorado wingnut. The event is being held in conjunction with a meeting of the even more wingnuttier Council for National Priorities:

Rep. Doug Lamborn is the guest of honor at a re-election fundraiser Friday at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in New Orleans.

Lamborn’s Republican opponents in the 5th Congressional District questioned the event, for which the “suggested donation is $250. Invitations to the fundraiser referred to the opponents as “sore-losing moderates.”
