Who's going to the Progressive Caucus Organizing Meeting tonight?
I haven't been as involved in the PC as I'd like, being wrapped up in Stonewall and all but I'm going to this one.

DFL Progressive Caucus Update

We have confirmed that the DFL PC has the CWA Hall at
3521 E. Lake Street for meetings this coming Thursday,
Dec. 15 at 6:30 p.m. (meeting starts at 7 p.m.) and
Saturday, Dec. 17 at 3 p.m. (meeting starts at 3:30
p.m.).

At the Thursday meeting Phil Steger will present a
proposal for organizing peace delegates. Your input is
needed. For those who cannot make it on Thursday, we
hope to see you on Saturday for a continued discussion
about preparing for the precinct caucuses and the
state convention.

Please share information about these meetings with
others, especially those groups interested in peace
and social justice issues. Print the attached business
cards (MS Word .doc) and distribute them at upcoming
events (TONIGHT: MAPA dinner and HUMAN RIGHTS DAY –
see details below), at your church, coffee shops, etc.
The business cards are also available on the DFL PC
website under "Meetings" (panel on right) at
www.progressivecaucus.net.

Your help is valuable and appreciated.

Thanks from the DFL Progressive Caucus!

1. And here I am with the whole weekend sewed up with the
two performing arts events described in my shameless self-promotion post.

:-(

2. Mwaaahhh! We peace-niks are taking over the DFL!
Phil presented what I thought was a solid plan for organizing peace delegates.

It's going to take resolve and discipline but we can do it AND have a major impact on the elections, with a special focus on the Senate race, but other races, too.

If anyone's at all interested, go to the meeting on Saturday afternoon. It'll be a repeat of tonight's meeting, not just a continuation.

3. absolutely
but now I'm embarrassed I didn't say hi :silly:
I'm not always great with names and faces I don't know well.

Anyway I won't be there tomorrow, but the meeting was very interesting.

4. I knew you looked familiar, too! LOL
Cripes, I sat next to you at the last DU meet-up I went to.

I think this happened because we both belong to so many groups, we're not sure where we knew each other from.

But I won't forget next time.
