2. Somebody called in a bomb threat to the fundie conference
in Eden Prairie

Bomb threat called into pastors' conference
Updated: 11/10/2005 02:06:29 PM

Everyone has been escorted out of the building. They have been told to wait for word for when they can head back inside

A bomb threat this morning cleared out an Eden Prairie Church that was hosting a gathering of pastors who were going to organize against gay marriage in the state of Minnesota. Everyone was eventually let back into the building.

Eden Prairie police tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that someone called the Grace Church around 10:30 a.m. and asked if this is where the pastors' summit is being held. The person in the church said yes, and the caller then said that there is a bomb in the church, according to police.

Pastors from evangelical and Catholic churches who want the state constitution amended to ban gay marriage planned to gather for a summit Thursday to hone their message.

"The only thing that stands in the way of the legalization of same-sex marriage in Minnesota is the church," said Chuck Darrell, a spokesman for the Minnesota Pastors' Summit, a first-time event in Minnesota.

They were across the street from me before they moved to EP. You could literally build a football stadium in the parking lot that place is so big

18. Grace Church. LOL, my ex went there...
More of a fundie than I realized. But his faith has already been tested by the neo-cons he once drooled over.

Pity I never got to talk reagan with him...

Still, he's waking up. But it's too late... far too late.

And he can love his kids all he wants. The trouble is, he voted for the depraved situation he's now struggling in. It's for the best, I suppose, he remains oblivious... unless he bothers to do the research, it's not illegal to re-write history. Yet.

19. They should have their tax-exempt status yanked.
Anyone feel like sending some letters to the IRS?

With the number of churches getting involved in politics, we could balance the national budget, instate universal health care, and pay for every kid to go to college... within a month!

25. What a lack of faith! Either they don't think God would protect them
from a bomb or even though they always claim to know God's will exactly - they won't consider that maybe God put the bomb there to tell them to quit acting so contrary to Jesus' teachings.

C'mon preachers, where's that demonstration of your faith.

What's that? Oh, you only know for sure what God wants in my life, not your own. Uh huh.

26. I must have missed it, the poll is now Are you done with yard work
already? Wow, what a change of issues.

Who knew the status of your yardwork was such a pressing issue. Obviously, they weren't about to post a poll result where even more than a "fringe left" percent would let the homos marry.
